Free Ethiopians – Protest at Saudi embassy in Washington DC

We demand Saudi Arabia to immediately release the illegally detained Ethiopians citizens!

Ethiopian-Americans and friends of Ethiopia are organizing a protest outside the Saudi Arabia Embassy in Washington DC on Feb. 21, 2012. The purpose of the Protest is to demand the release of Ethiopians who are unjustly detained by the Saudi Arabia Government. Thirty Five Ethiopians — 6 men and 29 women — remain in jail under inhumane conditions since December 15th 2012.

The protesters condemn the unjust incarceration of these Ethiopian Christians who are arrested for praying in their own homes, and call on the Government of Saudi Arabia to respect their rights and to release them immediately.

The Protest will take place in front of the Saudi Arabia Embassy in Washington DC on Tuesday Feb 21, 2012 starting 1t 10:00 AM.

The Protest is organized by collaboration of Ethiopian human right activists living in Washington DC area.

  1. Thanks for organizing this important demonstration. It is high-time that Saudi Arabia, a scum of a nation, that finances extremism and anti-christian sentiments by Muslims worldwide, should unmistakably be told that Christians will not accept the blatant and malicious crusade against Christians any more. It is important that the Western countries understand the true irresponsible nature of countries like Saudi Arabia. The Saudi Arabia is the source of most Anti Christian extremists and mass murderers like Osama Bin Laden and should not build mosques in Christian countries when they prohibit Christians to preach even in their homes. Enough is enough!

    Yes the Saudi Arabians should not build mosques, and also should not be allowed to pray in mosques in countries like Ethiopia.

  2. Will see you there. To ALL, this is the time to show our unity. Let`s send a bigger message to the tyrant by showing our unity and let be shocked that even religion will not devide us let alone their toxic nationalistic mentality and looting.

    Chinese companies are buying up farmland all over the world, but a court in New Zealand, a country where agriculture is fundamental to the economy, has ruled against one such sale.

    It vetoed the sale of dairy farms to a Chinese company because it was not of benefit to New Zealand.

    Many New Zealanders worried that allowing large tracts of agricultural land to pass into foreign ownership would have set an economically fatal precedent.

Ethiopians are being persecuted in saudi arabia for their belief, yet the saudi sheiks walk on red carpets in Ethiopia, build mosques whereever they choose, even buy fertile land in Ethiopia to grow rice for their own consumption. Why are the TPLF junta silent about these innocent Ethiopians suffering in saudi arabia?

  6. Thank you for a good cause that was behind the burner. Injdtice for one is injustice for all .All Ethiopians should stand for their Christian brothers and sisters who are jailed for worshiping their re;igion inside their homes. Saudi is the mother of all evils that is spreading through out the world , remember you can say all the prepaitors of Sept 11 were Saudi citzens .Stop Saudi atrocities against Christians any where in the world. This is a call to all Christians.

    Good that you sacrifice your finances to build mosques, but it would be more reasonable to build schools from millions of illiterates than mosques. Mosques will probably give you evils like Osama while schools produce geniuses like Einstein! How many people from your entire mosque goers around the world won Nobel Prize? None I believe!

    Do not blame the West for every misery of yours. I know the west had trained Osama for their war against Russia, but not all the disciples of Osama were created by the West. The crackpots are the result of medieval teachings and thinking in madrasas of Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen and many other failed states. The core idea of your religion is to conquer and convert everyone to Islam, even today. According to Islam, no other religion is to be tolerated and must be annihilated. Look what is happening to Christians or other Muslims like Shia in Middle East and elsewhere. Other religions might have perpetrated similar incidents in the past, but Islam persisted with its medieval thinking into 21 century. Islam is a cult of bullying and polygamy which encourages violence, intimidation. It is a totalitarian religion that has no place in modern world. Islam seriously needs reality checks. There are more destitute, ignorant Muslims in the world than followers of other religions or atheists. Finally, the West that you blame allowed you to construct mosques (or constructed for you) in their country while Christians in Islamic states are prevented from preaching even in their home. This is probably the fairness and righteousness as preached by Islam! By the way the stupid and coward Osama is said to have advised his children to go to the West and get modern education. Why did not he send them the Pakistani Madrasas? He is a hypocrite, just like millions of Muslims.

    Regarding the past contribution of Islamic scholars, I have no argument with that. But what was the contribution of Islam since that medieval time? The fact is in recent years the contributions of Islam is to burn books and schools or prevent women from getting modern education.

    Algebra was not invented by Muslims. Algebra existed long before Mohammad was born. Any civilization or invention that is claimed by Muslims was from conquered lands. The Muslims invaded then enslave people and and put “copyright” on what other have already invented.

    Please be careful when dealing with ICC. How soon did you forget what Jomo Kenyatta Said? ‘’When the missionaries came to Africa, they had the Bible and we had the land. They taught us to pray with our eyes closed. When we opened them, we had the Bible in our hand, and they had the land.” – Jomo Kenyatta, fist president of Kenya

    To me, no difference between Alhmudi/Saudi and ICC both want a territory to expand.

    You, the children’s of the Ethiopian Orthodox church should not forget the contributions made by the Orthodox church during the Italian invasion.

When Zinawi,the terrorist is captured and arrested by Ethiopians,Al Amoudi,an alien to our country and a stranger to our people will have no chance to escape to his Sadudi masters;both,Zinawi and Al Amoudi will stand trials for every crimes that have been committing jointly and individually.Zinawi,crimeboss and Al Amoudi,as agents of Saudi masters,will share the price of being both sinners and criminals.By now,Al Amoudi must know that Ethiopians know him as nothing other than an agent of Saudi devils;he too,will pay the price for the wicked and weird both covert and overt distructive activities that he been doing since he came into Ethiopia.

    Saudi masters made and shapped this distructive intruder,Al Amoudi to their liking and sent him to the land that had been keeping devil’s ey on;today,this,the made-in Saudi devils has completely become a nightmare to families and citizens in Ehtiopia,and must be captured and arrested along with Zinawi,the criminal for lasting sentences.
