  1. Bravo!Ethiopian review
the role of the the free press is of paramount importance to Ethiopia and its peoplem, as awareness, enlightenment and education are the
irresistible power/weapon againist the woyane junta

  2. Belew & Gelaw, it ryms !

    Meaza Beyene, replies:

Yes those are the fanatic Gonder Name, Always they stand against Ethiopia,

    Tizibt replies:

    Meaza Beyene,
Please have your head examined. Not good sign, must be suffering from schizo,,,,,….?!

  3. Elias
Is there a way for those of us living in other parts of the world to follow the meeting through videos?

    Elias replies:

    Yes, we can arrange that.

    sami replies:

elias, you know the term that Says ‘curiousity killed the cat’. the woyany sileyu cadres are dying with curiousity as they too scared to eves drop and find out for themselves lol. keep them guessing elias and as always GREAT JOB.

  4. On the record Elias is a good guy in a sense that he oppose the tplf invaders wholeheartly and many of us support him to the end in that regard. However, there is a big question one to answer: (1) is Elias an independant journalist? in my view the answer is no. Why? because he is a political activist and his online journal sole purpose in practical lterms is to deciminate his politcal view rather than other views that oppose his, not only that he publish some articles and news not on the bases of merit rather based on his incopetent twisted and distrorted view of self serving to say the least.
example: if u oppose shaebia u done with elias of review. if u oppose ginbot 7 u done with the review, if u oppose the olf u are out, if u mension the border issue u done with review, and so on. all these are documented. Now the point is:does elias can fit as an independant journalis the answer is big No. this critcism is intended as constractive rather than distractive.

    Tizibt replies:

    Mr. Banda Geday,
You ask if Elias is an independant journalist and imply that he is not, and according to you, he is a political activist. In a country such as Ethiopia where there is no freedom, no justice and no human rights to mention but a few, do you think a journalist should play by the rules, as it is practised in civilized western democracies? Do you think the Ethiopian government/justice system is behaving like an honest broker? Do you think Meles and his cohorts adhere to their own Constitution? Please don’t get me going!

    Chaso replies:

    Hey Bro,
Open your eyes, turn on your TV – FOX Channel and learn what Journalists and News anchors are doing. That is in America, where democracy and human rights were born and grown.

  5. Hello Elias Kifle the GREAT (keep it up),

WOYANE MUST GO. AMHARA AND OROMOS in the army, it is your time now to help us get rid of the beggars. Please, help your people. Coup d’etat is the only choice we have and let us do it. Follow the example of our hero, Yenesew. His death must not be for nothing.

    A PEACEFUL ETHIOPIA WILL PREVAIL.

  6. Tigre people liberation front hate the pen. What comes out of a free, independent press is like a wild fire to the gujile.

-That is why they are hopping mad about all the bloggers and newspaper editors and throwing people into prison willy nilly.

-that is why they are jamming VOA, German radio, ESAT TV, all internet sites, and banning foreign correspondents from entering Ethiopia.

-That is why the ethno-fascist woyane junta are banning the spread of internet in Ethiopia. Only 0.05% of the population have internet access. Ethiopia is last in the league of countries when it comes into internet access.

-We live in the 21st century, but the woyane gujile want to keep Ethiopia in the stone age.

  7. 1. What would be the format?
-Mediated by one of you or any other person?
-Q & A session?… and if so, would you take questions ahead of the meeting through this forum or any other way?
    —–
    2. How do you measure the standard of the Ethiopian press? Although the topic will deal with the press from abroad, the question applies as much regarding the “free press” in Ethiopia. Is there an Ethiopian organized and objective third party/entity ( that sets standard, mediate, advocate etc).

It would be nice if any informed person/s affiliated with the up comimg meeting can respond to 1 and 2.
#2 can be answered by any informed person if you know about this.
