Ethiopian Review and Current Affairs agree on joint campaign

In a special discussion that was held on Saturday, December 3, Ethiopian Review and Current Affairs Discussion Forum have agreed to launch a joint campaign against Woyanne. The campaign involves social and economic boycott of the Woyanne fascist regime in Ethiopia and its supporters and officials in the Diaspora.

The 3-hour discussion took place among Ethiopian Review editor Elias Kifle, distinguished economist Dr Aklog Birara, Current Affairs moderator Muyaye Misiker, and over 400 participants.

Ethiopian Review also introduced its 1K5 Program that calls for finding 1,000 individuals who are willing to become sponsors by contributing $5 per month (click here for more details).

The joint anti-Woyanne social and economic boycott campaign will initially target Woyanne cadres and officials in the Diaspora and Woyanne-owned or affiliated business.

The campaign intends to identify cadres and supporters of the genocidal junta, and expose them to the public so that they can be ostracized from the community.

The economic boycott targets Woyanne-affiliated businesses by exposing them to the public.

Ethiopian Review and Current Affairs agreed to try to bring other Ethiopia media to take part in the social and economic boycott of the Woyanne junta and its supporters.

  1. Elias $5 per day or month?

    Elias replies:

    it is per month.

    alemu replies:

ONLY 5 BOX MAKE IT 50 AND WE WILL DO IT

  2. It’s pretty disheartening and cruel just contemplating the extend of woyanes playing with the Eritrean issue as income generating and face saving diversional tactic hoping to prevent the Ethiopians from thier just cause demand; hell! even if that takes penalizing the always peaceloning and law abidding Eritrean people (the whole people of the region for that matter) into perpertual choases and destitutions solely to secure their ill-gotten fortune and power! One seriouly wonders what sort of sick else games would they have played without the Eritrean Golden Card on the table!
May alah/god rescue our people from such evil dictators!

  3. What makes different in life/situation? Choices are making differences

There are at least two types of choices for the same reason/question. Namely the right or wrong, Good or bad and the likes.

95% Ethiopian Diaspora have made the best choice which is making the Ethiopian situation better peacefully and with hard work. 5% are making a bad choice thinking they would harm woyane with confrontation which is very very silly and unwise only the stupid thinks this way. Have you seen any US citizen living in abroad and working day and night to affect USA? No. why don’t you learn.

The Ethiopian people need basic things not a Diaspora talk and terrorist act. The Ethiopian people are busy at all levels working day and night to prosper the nation and have good life.

One month a go Mugger and Mesob cement factory in Ethiopia were producing less than 2 million quintal of cement per year. Today the two companies are producing 4, 5 million quintals. The government is totally stopped imported cement and the price is now 195 and soon will fall farther.
In addition Derba Cement factory (new) is just started to produce 180,000 quintal daily. The company is expanding and after completion will produce up to 5 million quintal per year. There are 17 more cement factories soon will start operation including the huge Habesha cement . 11 fertilizer and 10 sugar factories are in the pipeline to be built with in less than 10 years. I can go on and on about the progress the Ethiopians back home are doing.

So, why don’t you be happy and contribute your part rather than trying to stop it which will not happen even for a second? You think you are all that. I’m telling you Ethiopia is not the way you think is. It a very different Ethiopia comparing two or three years a go let alone more than that.
There are always solutions. Don’t think you already have made mistakes and the only solution is continuing with mistakes knowing it would further affect you that anybody else.
Elias, Believe me. You have no what so ever power to affect the govt. few years back it could be the case. But not anymore. The Ethiopian people also are happy with the government knowing it is working for the development of the nation.

I know you will not post my comment. I also know individuals like you are the best asset Ethiopia has and needs very much if they choose the best way to serve her. Think about it. Don’t loose yourself in a way delivers you or anyone else anything good. Knowing you from the blog, you are a wise and qualified person can serve your country with high standard. Don’t destroy your skill for nothing. Use it for better Ethiopia in a peaceful and smart way. Yesterday’s world is not here anymore.

  4. Some Diaspora sell their identity because they get beautiful place to build home in Addis. In fact some built more than one home in Addis Ababa unlawfully in return for their service as a propaganda machine for Woyane. These Diasporas consider building and road construction as an indicators of development in Ethiopia. Even they do not have mind to analyse who use these building and road. Whether 90% of the Ethiopian people peasants eat 3, or 2, or one time per day. These Diasporas do not mind because they live comfortable life in USA and back country at their penthouse.

Some time they try to control the ethics or standards of the respected ESAT TV, the only and the first TV for Ethiopians by Ethiopians. Why ESAT honors tyranny Meles by giving a prefix respect for Meles as ESACHEW IN AMEHARIC. This is really offending. Does fascist Meles deserve respect?????? Look Meles who killed around 190 peaceful demonstrators, who reduces Ethiopia to land-locked, who ignites conflicts among ethnics and religions through anti-Ethiopia project. Undermining the sacrifice of Minilik, moreover our heroic ancestors. While fascist Meles taking power from Mengistu, he reduced the Ethiopian flag to just cloth, calling it in Ameharic cherk!!
Your unity is encouraging!!! Victory for Ethiopian people!!!!

  5. Elias it is a great achievement!!!But it is the beginning but not the last!! Unity is strength!!! And I also agree with the Woyanen Enatifaw comment. Pls avoid ESACHEW prefix which is an offending respect for evil-tyranny Meles!!
