“Getting real and conducting strategic struggle” Hmmm…
If the spontaneous uprising of the people armed with none violent principles pushed the entrenched tyrants out of power which NOBODY, underline the expression NOBODY,could ever have done but in the end some of them lacked a concrete strategic plan of how it is needed to end, may I humbly ask the rest of the overabundant gentlemen and women opposition groups and troops as to why they were absolutely unable to fill even that tiny end part?
I think that we have to wait the promised second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ of Nazaret before we may be able to see a united opposition political grouping armed with strategic struggle and bring about any kind of change. Why should we expect the Ethiopian opposition to get united and bring about any practical change when talking about change itself is already more than enough and is an end in itself. :)

there is no MASS Uprising, MASS Disobedience or MASS Civil Resistance.

Yes, spontaneous uprising of the people sometimes work. But also very susceptible to violent struggle
Strategically uncoordinated Actions Lead to Chaos and Vandalism.
Violent incidents against the public and public property can dramatically reduce the legitimacy of the struggle while giving the tyrant an excuse to use repression. It also lose its appeal to a broad range of potential allies.
Everybody will go back indoors to protect what is his own, and even will plead to the tyrant to send his brutal force to their neighborhood.
If the oppositions didn’t unite in the past, doesn’t mean they will not unite in the future.
We have to look different approach of Unification. PERSIST and PERSEVERE. NEVER GIVE UP!!!!
Mezgebu, I´m inclined to agree with u completely. The weyanes will have years and years at their disposal to take the ethiopian people for a ride through hell. It´s saddening but difficult to see anything new happening in the horizon. The biggest chance was in 2006. If in 2006, despite the massacre, the opposition had continued with their demos and even had spread that throughout Ethiopia, then there´d have been a light at the end of the tunnel but today…..I doubt it very much.

As the saying goes, think with your head, not your heart.
Your frustration, anger and impatience is understandable and but with those moods, reacting to situations can be trying at times. The ability to maintain objectivity and reasoning and keep emotion out of the decision making process is important to sound conclusion.
A.Regarding the issue of STRATEGY: Trying to conduct civil resistance without a STRATEGY is like trying to play football without a game plan. Period.
b. Regarding the ARMED STRUGGLE: By placing confidence in armed struggle means, one has chosen the very type of struggle with which the tyrant nearly always have superiority.
Using violence against “violence experts” is the quickest way to have your movement crushed. That is why tyrants frequently infiltrate opposition groups with agents provocateurs—to sidetrack the movement into violent channels that the violence professionals (police, military, security agencies, etc.) can deal with.
By placing confidence in Mass Uprising, PEOPLE’s Revolution we are making him fight our type of struggle with which the PEOPLE has superiority. Yes, there is going to be blood flowing. Simply put nonviolent resistance means nonviolent Discipline. Nonviolent resistance not a moral issue, it is a strategic issue.
c. Regarding the UNITY, ትግል ያለአንድነት የህልም ሩጫ ነው or People United Will Never be Defeated.
When we all take stock of our lives, think calmly and deliberately, we can be so reasonable and realize that what unites us are infinitely more important than what divide us and we can find common ground to work for the common good.
