Most Ethiopians are staying away from the ESFNA event this year to protest its continued association with the Woyanne junta and its agent Al Amoudi who are looting and plundering Ethiopia. ESFNA has a clear choice to make: cleanse itself of all Woyannes and their {www:lackey}s, or fall apart. The video below shows a soccer match between Las Vegas and Boston yesterday at the Georgia Dome. There was no one to watch the game.

  4. The football players are not Woyanne supporters. They are just ignorant and lack social consciousness, as most young Ethiopians today. So it is our job to educate them about what Meles and gang are doing to our country and instill in them sense of social responsibility.

If we really care about our people and country, let’s be sensitive to their suffering and oppression. We know the soccer players are not Woyanes, but what we should object is the invisible hands of Woyane that is behind the scene. In the past I enjoyed going to the annual soccer game and see old and meet new friends. Now I cannot enjoy being there knowing that Alamoudi and his agents are controlling the ESFNA board. This year I am staying home. Let each one of us do what is right in opposing the TPLF regime.

  8. Only cowards run away. Boycotting isn’t right. You don’t boycott what is yours but you take it back. Unfortunately, we Ethiopians are used to run away from what is out own. Real people stay and fight but we always run away from what is ours. We run away from our country and carry a different passport. We do not care who takes over our country. We run away endlessly in circles like a dog running after its tail only to see that it never catches it. Lets learn how to take back what is outs and not run away from it. The new heritage stuff is a symbol of the running away factor. All strenuous efforts should be directed only towards taking back and not running back.

  10. The Ethiopian community will teach the ESFNA that any association with Alamudi is not acceptable.
    Alamudi is a Woyane, and I can’t understand how there is no one who could stand up against Abnet G/meskel, the Alamudi brown noser, and Fasil Abebe, and others, in the board.
    The ESFNA board members should be thought a hard lesson, that if they don’t or can’t stand up for our country, they will perish.

Al Amoudi is an alien.He has been discovered who he is today and who he was then through varieties of anti-Ethiopia activities that he engaged in for many years.This man is a stranger to Ethiopians and the facts from among the many facts he knows Ethiopians know about him is that he is an agent who does for what he was sent to Ethiopia by international brotherhood. Of course,he times will up when the enemy that brought him in Ethiopia is compeletely defeated and removed from Ethiopiap.

    I agree very much with what you said. It is in fact in America COWARDILY act to boycott. This is not the answer! How can we fear of TPLF even in America or West, other wise we should all declare we are under Weyane Tyranny! It is important to mobilize ALL the players to stop them from playing!! let the Weyane and Alamoudi thugs play on the field by themselves. What if there is a straining order against these people. What TPLF and Alamoudi are showing right now their strength and they are showing that even in the Diaspora they are the ones calling the shots and how can we allow them? Their goal is to divide the diaspora into pro and anti TPLF and eventually weaken us and probably break the ESFNA apart. It means they won. Ethiopians throughout the West should really take this issue seriously, young, old, women and women all alike we should have emergency meeting and discuss this issue. Root out all Weyane spies to stop them giving names and information to TPLF so that it will threaten their family in Ethiopia. If it smells and acts like TPLF then it is TPLF and we must now stop giving in to these individuals even to root out spies working for them. I am not also surprised that Weyane could pay Americans to do the same thing. The American democracy is disappearing while we are watching which will very much benefit the existance of TPLF

  17. mr.estifanos i disagree with the notion that the players are ignorent,im a coach on one of the teams that particepated in the tournment we have worked and practiced hard for a whole year and particepated in different tournments so that we can be ready and fit .so we can win the tournment. so for somebody that has no clue or idea what this means you should not be cretisizing the athlets. also you should not be mixing sports and politics together incase you have forgotten nations that are at war call a timeout when their respective teams play in the worldcup. so please save me the crap and bullshit about the players being ignorent.bviousley you are not an athlete but a person that shows up at a stadium just to complain. also why dont the camera man show the stand behind him,because that is where the stadium officials were allowing everybody to sitdown like all the stadiums we have played in the past years do.

You have lost your credibility and moral value when you aligned yourselves with the woyane government that have slaughtered tens of thousands of innocent Ethiopians, stolen billions of dollars from the mouths of poor Ethiopian people and given away the land of Ethiopia. Don’t try to shift the blame on the rest of us. You and your players should have distanced yourselves from Meles and his associates especially after the 2005 elections.   25. As a player and representative of our team for the past 10 years or so, I am ashamed by how some of you blindly criticize and pass judgement without any knowledge of the details. You are no better then the exact Woyanes you criticise when you blindly slander ESFNA, its players, and associated members. The ESFNA tournament is the only pure Ethiopian thing left. It is one event that unites all and does not discriminate between religions, affiliations, etc. I see some of you ignorant mud slingers are not satisfied with its success. You will not be satisfied until the last pure Ethiopian organization is dismantled. I have lived in the US for most of my life (25 years) and have realized that we Ethiopians are cursed. There is no other explanation for the divisive and evil way we treat each other. We are so jealous of each other that we resort to mud-slinging and name calling without facts. Thats exactly what is happening. Some of you old, crusty mud slingers need to leave ESFNA alone. The players are pure, the organizers are pure, and we will continue producing the most pure and nondiscriminating event for Ethiopians year after year. I only hope your yopung kids do not learn from your cursed and jealous ways. I always thought that it is a great idea that our young Ethiopians in America need to preserve and maintain their culture. But I am not so sure anymore. And some of you are proving why. You are so jealous, judgemental, and mud sling without any facts to back your shaky positions. Thank you.

    I know you wouldn’t eat a tainted food, then why in God’s name you and the likes of you be part of an association called ESFNA that has close ties with the criminal Woyanes and good friends of tyrant Meles and his TPLF puppets? Why not start a woyane free association that is welcomed by all Ethiopians and let all of us enjoy the soccer game that the majority of Ethiopians love to watch.

    As the saying goes: “show me your friends and I’ll tell you who your are” It is a fact that ESFNA have accepted money from Al Moudi who is a close friend of dictator Meles.
    You and binyam have proved our points by belittling the majority Ethiopians: “to go to hell, jealous and a bunch of ignorants” Obviously, you feel the same way as Woyanes do towards Ethiopians. What a shame!
