Ethiopia’s paranoid dictator has purged several senior Oromo officials in the Oromo People’s Democratic Movement (OPDO), an affiliate party of the ruling Tigray People’s Liberation Front (Woyanne).
Some of the senior officials who have been arrested recently include Zelalem Jemaneh, OPDO executive committee member; and Daba Debele, OPDO central council member and head of Addis Ababa Capacity Building Bureau.
So far, 150 OPDO officials have been rounded up and thrown in jail. The reason given for the arrests is corruption, which is a well known tactic by Meles Zenawi to remove potential opponents.

Hallelujah! The Lord is here! We should celebrate this occurrence, not mourn it. OPDO is one Achilles heel in Oromo society that was created by Meles himself. The only difference between OPDO and TPLF members is the alleged ethnic affiliation, otherwise there is no difference whatsoever. Except the fact that OPDO is a slave of the so called EPRDF party, not part of it.
Do I feel sorry for these guys, hell no… Anyone who works with Melese should know that he or she are as criminal as TPLF thugs and have innocent blood on their hand. These people benefit from this government, i don’t care if he burn them…
Since they’ve been helping Meles{TPLF},Abusing ethiopian people in general and
currently there are many ethnic oromos in prison accused of a crime they never
committed but this OPDO officials did not even care to one of their own since
they were to busy stealing, Woyane knows that but they don’t mention it until
they OPDO bring political questions ,when they do their answer is prison and in order for them to be release they have to say sorry and will never raise any
questions any more i don’t fell sorry for them since they are guilt for helping

These selfish traitors deserve everything they got and more for betraying Ethiopians. Any man or woman, business owners, political party members and others who are close to a tyrant that has incarcerated, tortured, killed and looted Ethiopia/ns should be considered TRAITORS.

At the same time, his power is minimizing just like the Dergue while Mengistu kill all important generals of the front. All these are worthless people who pulled the people struggle in one way on another. I do not like politician who organize themselves in ethnic and tribes.
How could this people be blamed of corruption, they built their mansions with their hard earned money. For that matter all EPDRF members can’t be suspected of corruption.
Anyway, it is unbelievable to expect any forced marriage of convenience to last at any rate. OPDOs are like a woman who had been raped and has to stay put, and when the man is no longer pleased with her, he just gives her a bill of divorce. Yet, because she is embarrassed to go back home to her relatives, she will no longer have a place to call home except scavenge in his back yard as a prostitute. In fact, historically Oromos are to be seen only and not heard, because use them, abuse them, and get rid of them was and is the modus operandi of the Criminal Habasha enterprise aka Ethiopia.
What an eternal embarrassment the OPDOs are to the gallant OROMO people. In fact, rumor abounds that there are at least two OPDOs , one in Addis Ababa and the other one in Asmara, aka olf shane. In their attempt to scape from a worm ( Nftegna) now they are in the grips of the serpents( Wayane and Shabia). Maagaa baqa bofaa afaan buute. Hence, because of these two idiotic pseudo Oromo organizations and the likes , the Oromo people could not muster united strength to turn the tide against their minority oppressors and define their own destiny.
How unfortunate that, another generation of Oromo people has to go through slavery, ones again. This time not by the Amharas, who simply hate them,but by Tigres who not only hate them but also despise them relegating to them coward slave status. Oh! the arrogant, belligerent and insolent mindset of the Wayanes. They keep on biting more than they can chew, and one these days there will be no teeth left on them, and that is not a threat but a promise.
Our hope has to be our Oromo youth that will rise from the dust bins of shade innocent blood and broken bones of true Oromo patriots, to take their historic place much like middle Eastern youth, saying enough is enough. Enemies of the livelihood of people in that region are not just despotic Arabs but their relatives that are called Habashas aka the Neftegnas the Minilik ashkers, Shabia the Mussolini ashkers and Wayanes the Yohannis ashkers. Knowing your enemy is half of the victory.

PS: There is a school of thought that both OPDOs which are under Wayane and Shabia are not Oromos, but Neftenga breeds of the last century, who speak Oromifaa, bent on perpetuating Ethiopian empire at all cost.
Meles is pushing the Oromos to uprising before a non-ethnic, non-religious movement rises. Meles is, as always, evil. Care should be taken by the oromo people…unless the up-rise is well directed in unison with all Ethiopians, it is bound to fail. We must be tsunamis to minority TPLF and their cronies.
What we can learn from tyrants is the performances of the drama written by the junta and came to the forum by TPLF with a sauce added called ethnic grouping and the like.
Meles has different cards like a football referee but his is not to punish timely but to revenge when some one suspected to cross against his lie.
I do not know why we go after such things as if we are guided by these tugs and it is always true unless any memeber of this tugs coalation group cross the red line set by Meles they act as condoms but when they finish their service they are offals like our own the so called oppositions(Hailu, Lidetu, Chamiso,Siye,Bitew,Aregash,Gebru etc.).what is important to do is to set ourselves in unisome and unseat this group of tugs once and for all.
I remember when Oboo Daba Debele,was critising Dr. Negaso in 2001. That is 10 years ago. Oboo Daba might have been seeking the Oromia Presidentialship position. But he didn’t get it. Meles knows how to use people and trash them after using them.
Dr. Negaso Gidada is the only person I know of ex-EPRDF member who requested forgiveness from the Ethiopian people for his wrongdoings while a member of the ruling junta.
Why do these Oromo leaders are being jailed now? I think they didn’t do as much harm as TPLF members are doing. Talk to corruption. TPLF members should all go to jail. Talk to any other wrong doing. Most TPLF members should go to jail, not others. All evils are comited by TPLF not others. So let’s get united and get rid off these TPLF mafia group.
This paranoia dictator, he is working day and night to divert the attention. For his problem he is blaming others, like ESAT, opposition leaders, Eritreans and so on. I was watching one of his last week interviews, he was answering about how the “other governments” do negative things, to divert the attention of the people from the real issue. He is professional for that, even if it costs million peoples of life he doesn’t care as far as he is power and stealing Ethiopia’s resources.

There wasn’t anything that Meles Zinawi would not be doing to demolish the lives of his own people.Purging,imprisonment,and murder:Stalin did;Husen Mubarak did,Ben Ali did,and Gadhaffi,the only hope of Meles Zinawi,did too.But the revolution did one and only one thing;it removed dicators from their sit and sent them to lif’s long hell.

Well,a revolution is not uni-directional.Is it that Meles Zinawi thinks the revolution is off its course and cause and skipped the southward direction and moved to North-East into yemen? Well,a revolution is agile;not fragile and is multi-directional;it has a radar,it has all sorts of gadgates and can detect dictatorial regimes and dictators from afar.Many Ethiopians lost their lives trying to take refuge in Yemen while escaping from the brutal regime of Meles Zinawi.Is it that Meles Zinawi is worrying the blood of those perished Ethiopians into the Red Sea will come and haunt him?
