Yemen police arrests 73 Ethiopians

SANA’A (Saba) — Yemen police arrested 73 Ethiopians who have entered the country illegally, Interior Ministry reported on Monday.

The security authorities said that they have arrested 65 Ethiopians in Hodeidah province, 14 in Sana’a province and 3 in Amran province.

Yemen arrested more than 700 Ethiopians including women who entered the country illegally in last month.

  1. The Yemenis used to come to Ethiopia/ Eritrea looking for a job like carrying stuff for people (KULI) using their horse carriages. There were a lot of them in Massawa and Asmara and the locals used to call them “JEBELI” – the word Jebeli was used commonly to refer to some one who does that kind of job. To come to the point – this tells me that we have gone backward decades instead of going forward because of our leaders. Now it is our turn to go to Yemen to do the labor job and they are arresting and deporting our brothers and sisters. We never deported them – well I guess Mengistu did ( I am not taking about my self, I am taking about Mengistu Hailemariam).
    Ethiopia has much more resource than Yemen then only reason why our people are going there is because of poor government policy and leadership
