Saturday, Oct. 20
The Kinijit delegation to the U.S. participated in a town hall meeting and fund raising event in the Twin Cities (Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota) on Saturday. Artist Abebe Belew conducted the fund raising event which brought in $20,000, not counting ticket sales. The meeting hall that holds 500-600 people was full. A large part of the meeting was dedicated to questions and answer session. Participants were encouraged to ask any question they have in mind. Sunday morning, Wzt. Bertukan Mideksa and Ato Gizachew Shiferraw will travel to Sioux Falls, South Dakota (see poster), while Dr Berhanu Nega travels to Chicago (see poster). Dr Hailu Araya and Ato Brook Kebede will hold a public meeting in Denver. By the time the weekend is over, the delegates will have covered five cities

Friday, Oct. 19
Kinijit leaders Dr Hailu Araya and Ato Brook Kebede have arrived in Denver, Colorado, this afternoon. Several Ethiopians from the Denver Metro Area have received them with flowers and Ethiopian flag at the Denver International Airport. Tomorrow, they will meet with various representatives of Ethiopian and Denver area communities, and on Sunday at 1:00 PM they will attend a public meeting.

A few hours earlier, Wzt. Bertukan Mideksa, Ato Gizachew Shiferraw and Dr Berhanu Nega arrived in Minneapolis. Over 300 Ethiopians greeted them at the Minneapolis International Airport.

  1. This is absolutely beautiful. No Ethiopian Organization has moved Ethiopians so much as Kinijit and its leaders have. This mass base is the biggest asset for kinijit, and our weapon to bring woyane dictatorship down. Woyane will fail mostly because it is a rejected party. No wonder woyane is afraid of fair and free election. Therefore, Ethiopians all over the world keep on supporting Kinijit and its leaders. Democracy is coming soon.

  8. I love kinjit, and the delegation , they are well orginized to reach their people ( supporters) here in US and Europe this what we need from our beloved leaders, even when the time of crisis over the leaders, I hope they will dissolve this situation in between.

  13. Eventhough their is some kind of (minor) difference b/n leaders of Kinijit the party still commands the full support of Ethiopians.The down fall of the ethnocentric fascist regime of Melese Zenawi is certain.We have to push hard to free Ethiopians from this brutal mercinary (TPLF) group.

  14. Well done Kinijit!! The Ethiopian people’s prayer are with you. I am praying that by Sunday the missing member of your delegation to join you so that our joy will be complete. Who knows Kinijit is a miracle by itself and let the miracle of reconciliation fill the air around us. I can not wait till Sunday.

  15. It is nice to see the delegation move from one city to another and meeting Ethiopians. They are now winding their visit; it is time now to reflect on their visits. One of the important issues is to bring accord between the two supporter groups of Kinjit. Has that been accomplished? Did we end with more rift than it was before? I understand the Kinjit vice chairman denounced Kinjit.org. This is the only web page that writes about the Kinjit Chairman. Will this help to resolve the difference between the Kinjit supporters? Or this action is as a result of the meeting to resolve the issues of the supporter group? Does that mean Kinjit.com is the official web page of Kinjit?
    There are now two North Kinjit support group. Did the delegation tell us which one we have to follow?
    Kinjit will survive even with this bickering.

  16. Meselu, Dr. Berhanu is the only hope for Ethiopia? I like the guy and I think he can help in the struggle, but he’s not the only one. There are many others equally capable. Kinijit maybe the only hope!
