(Ogaden Online) — Reports reaching the Ogaden Online service desk from the city of Diridhaba in the province of Shiniile confirm the existence of a recent pitched battle that took place between the Tigrean People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) troops stationed in the area and the local population.
It is reported that towards the end of last week, the civilians held an area-wide demonstration to protest the recent confiscation by the Woyanne militia of a fertile agricultural land estimated at 60,000 hectares. Reliable sources within the TPLF and in Addis Ababa intimated that the land was clandestinely sold to a Chinese consortium
Eyewitnesses reported that the TPLF troops, instead of letting the citizens vent their bent up anger and frustration through the peaceful demonstration, started shooting everyone on sight. Ogaden civilians, once they realized what was going on, immediately dispersed. However, Ogaden Online reporters in the area confirmed that instead of waiting out the TPLF troops to return to their barracks, as used to be the norm, the residents, many of whom were nomads who have firearms for protecting their livestock from wild animals in the area, went back to their homes and came back armed and ready to fight the TPLF gangs.
Eyewitnesses reported that the TPLF troops were quickly overwhelmed by the sheer number of armed civilians from all corners of the city. As a result, the TPLF troops were quickly overrun by the local civilians. It is reported that the TPLF militias left five of their dead in the area and went back to their barracks. The casualty figured from the Woyanne side is unknown.
The civilians were said to have lost one, but there are many injuries sustained by the civilian side. The city is still tense. There are reports that the TPLF militias have consulted with their bosses in Addis Ababa on what to do next. It is said they are awaiting further instructions. Many of the civilians are said to have sworn that rather than vacate their fertile land, they would die facing off the TPLF militias and any other group that attempts to confiscate their land.

TPLF face the end of it’s existence and pay all the genocide.
Woyane-tigrai has no legitimate right to handle with the un/fertile land of Ethiopia. It can only represent its own Tigre-region.
Woyane has no mandate to determine over the territories of other regions.
If Woyane wishes to leak the ass of foreign collaborators let it be. Woyane can sell the whole of Tigrai to foreigners, if the people tolerate the sell out.
On the other hand it is a good opportunity to slaughter Woyanes whereever they are.
The people of Ethiopia must coordinate their struggle to dismantle those coward, unpatriotic, greedy woyanes.
The bitter struggle awaits the Ethiopian people. The real struggle is yet to come.
It is advisable to Woyanes to look for other homeland before the inevitable overtake them.
The rest of the Ethiopian poeple should learn from them.
An examplary militancy for others to react the same way as our Ogaden brothers rightfully defended there possession.
Paragraph 3 line 2 has major English error. It reads bent up anger. This is bad English. There is no such word as bent up anger. It should read pent-up anger. For your information Elisa, Pent-up means, confined; restrained; not vented or expressed. You should edit your stories in the proper manner. Readers of your articles who have very limited vocabulary may interpret the word bent literally or as folded and the word may unfotunately be ingrained in their mind and they could use it in their ever day conversion much to the dismay of those who speak a well polished English. I am susopecting probably, the original article is written by a person who has difficulty pronuncing words that start with the letter P.

Mr. Elias,
Is there any way you can independently verify this story. This website has been calling that chartered city in a conveniently twisted way. Its original name was given by the 16th century settlers of the Oromo tribe as Dire Dawa. Then when my own tribes started settling in the vicinity during the last 120 years, it was given the name mentioned in the article above as ‘Diridhaba’ or as it is often in the streets among my own Somali community ‘Dirdebie’. Some people may try to tell me that as an Issa Somali I should not say things like that. Did the incidence mentioned above really happen? If it did, was it preceded by cattle rustling and killing of another peaceful settled nationality? I heard enough of lines of lies and fabricated news from such fictionary groups for the last 50 or so years. So, my dear friend Mr. Elias, please do the best you can to verify this story. This sacred website which is my most favorite waterhole should not be desecrated by sheer hot air.
keep up your fight against Woyane that’s the only way you can gain freedom from This rouge regime,

Jafar Booh,
Actually, you youself can verify the story. Just one phone to the city would ascertain you the authencity of the news.
That, of course, is if you have roots in the city i.e if you know anyone there or better yet have friends or relatives in there.
To many the best way to find the truth is to speak with someone you know who resides there.
