  1. To Dearest Birtukan and all CUD leaders: “A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles.”

    God bless you!!

    shotel

  2. Birtukan … this is the perfect opportunity to show what they are up aganist and you should show that. Nothing but determination, forthright, reconciliatory and of course sincerity.
You will never get the second chance to make the first impression. I know you can. Don’t forget Jendai is sitting beside you … the architect of the Ethiopian missery ..
Go Girl … capture the moment …

  3. Birtukan..I hope this will be a good opportunity to clarify to the ppl how and why the woyanees decide to realease you . You have the chance to explain how brutal and mercyless the regim is.Don’t forget the Ethiopia people still don’t have a chance to express what is in their mind. You are the VOICE now. Tell THE WHOLE TRUTH.

    LONG LIVE AEND ETHIOPIA!!!!

  4. Dear Birtukan

I was one of your Ethiopian brothers who was shouting to the rest of the world how you and the CUD leaders have been unjustly detained and subjected to different types of psychological terror. In my advocacy, I always tell the western journalists and politicians the resemblance between the American civil and political right activists and CUD leaders. Your struggle is simmilar to those American heroes who fought for civil and political rights. I will be very happy if you can use the American example to illustrate your struggle. It will be very easy for Americans to understand. Americans are proud of their heroes and I have no doubt that they will see you with the same eye and mirror they visualise the American heroes of the 1960s.

    You are indeed a hero!
May God speak through your tounge at the US congress hearing!
    Good luck!

  5. what an historical opportunity for a wonderfull lady carrying a hope for Ethiopia!
But Birtukan has not to take this accasion for diatribe against EPRDF,this is not the issue ,each of us Ethiopians has our own opinion about all political parties and All Us official too. What she has to do is to show there is a need of new era and new chapiter to be opened in Ethiopia and in the region and she has to convince the audience about this absolute and historical need.

  6. Birtukan and Berhanu, use this opportuinity to show that you are polotically mature, emotionally stable who can work for the advancment of Ethiopia. Show that you are a worthy opposition to EPRDF. Distance yourself from hate polotics, have a concillatory tone to be credible. Americans do read between the lines. Give credit where its due.
