  3. I think this is the critical time to save CUD. Dr. Taye and Shaleqa are working hard to destroy the unity of CUD and it seems that they are succeding in spliting the leaders. So, all media people should follow all the steps and expose to the public. It is sad that shaleqa and the so called Dr. Taye are working in favor of Woyane. So we Ethiopians should stand strong in unity and support the majority leaders.

    One thing I now convinced 100% is that Shaleqa has misused the party’s money and Dr. Taye has got his share to help the process. It is sad that Eng Hailu is caught in this bad situation which does not go with his personality. However, all the sacrifice he and his friends in the CUD party paid should not be save the bad friends who uses their imprisonment to collect money.

    So, all media people should work hard like Elias to expose the situation to the public.

    Thank you Elias, you are brave even though the shaleqa gangs are labling you this and that, you have to keep exposing such bad peoples.

    I was on the conference today at the Marriott Hotel in Crystal city.
    All the speech and the overall program was wonderful.
    Our Almighty God gave us a chance to meet with our elected leaders and
    we will work with our elected leaders together until the end.
    Meles zenawi the “The Father and mother of all lies” will go to Hell in the near future.
    Ethiopia will prevail.

Those who are very close family and friends should be very honest and be open with him now. No one with a clear mind and soul can blame things on Weyane any more. He is in a free country and free to speak and do. If he wishes to be his own man that is for him to do. But he can not be a leader of Kinijit as this is not a ONE MAN show.
    I strongly believe he should be given as much time as possible. Let the the delegates travel over America and do the job for the party without him as they did today. It is a smart move. They must not hold themselves as hostages. They have paid their share of prison and sufferings as much as he did.

It was really an indspiration for me to attend the dc public meeting hosted by kinijit delegates.They put forward the agenda and vision of the party,not indivedual dreams,with clear words.if we would like to follow the foot step of history, not individuls,that road is open to all of us .if majority wins; five wins one.And if we set our goal with principles;leadership comes first before a leader.please let’s recollect our mind and work for the betterment of the mass and the mass is with kinijit.I wish i can see the chairman on that colorful meeting,what a mess jal?

    I would reserve judgment until Eng. Shawl shades light on the issue. I would definitely refrain from condemning him before he declares his position. I do hope that he will stand on the right side of democracy, Ethiopian people and majority of the Kinijit Party.

    Shouldn’t we immediately interview Eng. Shawl to find out exactly what his thoughts, not to mention his position, are in relation to the “crisis” at hand?

  22. I was watching the whole meeting.I was so impressed. I definately saw ye etyopiawent chewanet.This is the culture I know about Ethiopia from the day the kinijit came till now.I pray to The Lord not to happen anything on all of them but more to Dr. Berhanu. Mellese and his gangs grew up in a totally diferent era.They had been killing so many Ethiopians including their party members.Some one told me tplf don’t kill right away they burried people till their neck leave them like that for a while and shoot them when they are ready to die.That was the experience they had.How can these 2 parties survive or live together.Melesse and his people don’t know how to compromise They believe in killings not in dialog.I again asked the Lord to watch Kinijt party and the members.I admire Dr Berhanu his figure of speach and confidence.Ethiopia lost thousands of Berhanu Negas in the past I hope he will survive all the plots that’s waiting for him.I wish he stays here.   31. Elias, you will always be appreciated and thanked as usual for addressing what was happening in the CUD 1st meeting held in Virginia.

    But, I am really sorry for what happened with in kinijit. Engineer Hailu Shawel suppose to be participating in the meeting. I know that there is some kind of dispute among the leadership group.Their difference should have been resolved and at least come to a common understanding befor the first meeting has taken palce.

    I want to say that division will never benefit any of the group. It will affect the struggle for democracy that all the politicians of CUD are struggling.

    Message to the LEADERS:

    You the Leaders of kinijit should be an example to your followers on how to become democrat, tolerant, logical, respectful, and that believe in dialogue.

    Why not try to interview Egr Hailu? At least get it from the horse’s mouth. The fact that there is little transparency and apparent coordination between Kinijit as a whole is no good. It is much easier to divide and destroy than to build. Try not to take the easy road and regret it.

    I want to say one thing that will be used not to loss our leader Ing. Hailu from the party. He may not understand what are going at the background By shaleka’s group. So please everybody has a chance to talk with Ing. clarifys the situations smoothly and listen his idea as he is a father. CUD never loss him because of some people try to hide their problem. This should be the responsibility of executive members and journalists. God bless Ethiopia and safe CUD with its lovely leaders.

    I appreciate what you are trying to find out what happened with Eng Hailu Showel. We need to know the real thing, especially why he was absent at the DC meeting. But I don’t believe that he doest understand what is going on inside Kinigit supporters concerning Shaleqa’s corruption. At least his closer relatives will tell him about our anger. I think there is some thing behind this scene. May be he is trying to solve the problem in other way since Kinigit is a collective party (multi-party) with different opinions and agendas. In worst scenario may be his families are under GUN point back home. May be he is sick (remember – with nanotechnology era it is very simple to make people sick or change mind) I wont here another Solomon (singer) history. Let us give him time and pry for him.
