Thousands of people in Gondar region, northern Ethiopia, are marching to save the Waldeba Monastery from the Woyanne junta. The people are armed with rifles and rudimentary weapons such as axes, knives, sticks and every thing they can get their hands on, according to a priest who spoke with the VOA’s Addisu Abebe today.
