Land mine explosion targeted Woyanne military convoy on Wednesday in northern Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia, causing heavy causality to the military, witnesses said.
Witnesses told local media that they have seen a number of dead Woyanne soldiers scattered around the shattered military vehicle.
“I can not confirm the exact number of those who died” said one witness.
After the explosion, the Woyanne soldiers fired on surroundings buildings at the Fagah junction in the north of the city where the blast occured, but there is no civilian casualty, a vendor told the Radio.
“This forced us to close our shops and escape to avoid any search operation” said Abdow Shuke, a local street vendor in the area.
