Haile Gebrselassie believes he can beat his world marathon record in Dubai.
The Ethiopian, who set the benchmark of two hours four minutes and 26 seconds in September, will be paced by former world half-marathon champion Fabiano Joseph and former New York winner Rodgers Rop on January 18.
Haile’s manager, Jos Hermens, told the Telegraph: “He and I am sure that he can go under 2:04 – but he’s 34 and this might be his last chance.”
