Chapter representatives and central committee members of Ethiopian People’s Patriotic Front (EPPF) held a worldwide conference on August 1, 2010, and have passed a 14-point resolution on problems facing the organization and measures that need to be taken to fix them.
The conference was attended by EPPF chapters from Europe, USA and Canada, as well as several central committee members.
EPPF is an armed resistance movement that has a great deal of potential in helping bring about change in Ethiopia. Unfortunately, the organization has been plagued with deep corruption and the leadership is infiltrated by some individuals who have ulterior motives.
A serious effort is now being made by a highly committed group of individuals to rid EPPF of corruption, nepotism, parochialism and incompetence. Those who are resisting change for their own personal interests — some are profiting from the organization — have recently started to mount a counter offensive by trying, through backdoor dealings, to reverse decisions made at EPPF’s General Assembly last February. These corrupt individuals have also started to appear on some internet discussion forums and publicly attack central committee members who are pushing for change. This has prompted all EPPF chapters in the Diaspora and central committee members to convene a conference on Sunday, August 1, and state their positions clear by passing a resolution.

In December last year, Meles Zenawi signed an agreement with Cairo acknowledging Egypt’s quota over Nile River. The agreement was revealed by Egyptian newspaper Al Aharam (click here to read). Now, 7 months later, the head of Ethiopia’s genocidal junta is sending his agents to the Diaspora to agitate Ethiopians about Ethiopia’s right to use Nile water.
It’s obvious that Meles and gang have started to talk about Nile to divert people’s attention from domestic troubles. It is a strategy right out of Wag the Dog. Although there is no doubt that Ethiopia has rightful ownership over Nile, the most urgent demand of Ethiopians at this time is the removal of the Woyanne cancer, not the use of Nile River.
In a campaign to divide Ethiopians in the Diaspora, Meles has given instructions to Woyanne cadres and bootlickers such as Solomon Tekalign to organize protest rallies against Egypt. The Viagra-addicted Al Amoudi is financing the operation, paying for transportation and hotel accommodation of those who take part in the rallies and meetings.

Ethiopians in Europe who are attending their annual festival in Amsterdam this week have attacked a Woyanne cadre who dared to wear a t-shirt with Meles Zenawi’s photo and walk in their midst.
After getting what he deserved, the cadre ran away and later came back with police officers. The Ethiopians told the officers that the fool was wearing a t-shirt bearing the picture of a mass murderer. They explained that it is like carrying Hitler’s photo at a Jewish festival. Many of the people at the Amsterdam festival have been traumatized and forced into exile by Meles Zenawi. The police understood the situation and took the guy away with an advise not to return.
Ethiopian Review has learned that the cadre had arrived in Amsterdam just 2 days ago from Ethiopia, and some suspect that he was sent to the festival to measure the mood of Ethiopians in the Diaspora.
Addis Dimts radio will air special program on Tuesday and Wednesday starting at 7 PM about the protest rally by Ethiopians and American-Ethiopians in the Washington DC area against China’s destructive policy on Ethiopia.

The protest rally at the China embassy in Washington DC will be held this coming Thursday at 9:00 AM.
China has been providing financial and technical support to the genocidal regime in Ethiopia that have enabled Meles and gang to deny the people of Ethiopia access to news web sites, radio and TV. The latest to be affected by Chinese technical assistance is Ethiopian Satellite Television (ESAT) that was jammed last week.
Technology provided by China has also allowed the Meles regime to block most Ethiopian news web sites, including EthiopianReview.com, as well as VOA and DW.
Three Ethiopians and one South African were injured when a mob of people attacked Ethiopian men in Pietermaritzburg, the capital city South Africa’s second largest province of Kwazulu-Natal, last night, paramedics said.
Three Ethiopian men were treated for superficial stab wounds and a South African woman also sustained a minor injury to her elbow after rocks were allegedly thrown at her, ER24 spokeswoman Vanessa Jackson said.
She said one of the Ethiopian men treated by paramedics told them that a fight broke out after his brother’s car was vandalized for no apparent reason.
Questions about the car incident allegedly saw a bigger crowd of people from the community become violent against the Ethiopians.
Jackson said the incident resembled xenophobic attacks.
A coalition of several Ethiopian groups are coming together to organizing a protest rally against China’s political, financial and technical assistance to the genocidal regime in Ethiopia.
The first protest rally will be held in Washington DC on August 5, 2010 at the Embassy of China.
