An Exhibition and Bazzar, organized by Oromia Trade and Transport
Bureau and Awash Business Promotion in the town of Nazareth will come
to an end with little success due the small number of visitors, with
37 companies taking part in it.
Ali Abdo Investment Bureau Head with the Oromia Regional Government
officially opened the trade fair, which was staged for the last seven
days. The exhibition, which aimed to attract the regions potential
businesses to participate in the trade fair failed partly due to lack
of adequate promotional work, said participants.
Hagbes Plc, for instance, though major sponsor of the event was unable
to participate in the fair because the Trade and Transport bureau
delayed the scheduled opening date by 15 days, which created
additional costs.
Companies that participated in the trade fair ranged from biscuit
manufacturers to high-powered machinery importers.
According to the organizers of the trade fair the event would have
opened opportunities to investors and participants for a new business
partnership in their area of interest.
