AAU academic dean post still vacant

The Dean of academics post at Addis Ababa University (AAU) has been
vacant for the past two moths after Dr. Gemechu Megerssa who is now on
sabbatical leave was forced to leave his post by the president.
Sources told Capital that Dr. Gemechu Megerssa, vice president and
academic dean of AAU had a disagreement with professor Indrias Eshete,
President of AAU and Dr. Samuel Assefa, advisor to the president with
the title of vice president.
Ato Aboneh Ashagre, instructor at the Theatrical Arts department and
Vice President of AAU administration, or Ato Mohamed are said to be
likely candidates to take over the post.
