Ethiopia-Eritrea Border Dispute
Question: Does the United States provide technical assistance in the border demarcation effort?
Answer: Under
the Algiers Agreement, the border demarcation is to be carried out by
the Ethiopia-Eritrea Border Commission (EEBC) with support from the
United Nations Cartographer; however, the United States would be
willing to evaluate any specific requests for assistance should we
receive one from the Commission.
