Hailu Shawel's long road to Democracy

Forward the time on 8:47 and listen very carefully what Engineer said.

 where is Engineer now Semira? I don't have to be smart like you to understand what he said.

speaking of shaking hand with a devil, what do you say about this one? do you see the smile? do you know when this picture was taken? if you want to know, i will tell you. This picture is taken just after Legesse fired 40 or so University professors when they oppose the attempt by woyanne to compromise the addis ababa universities laws and freedom. Dr. Nega took that opportunity took his position there in place of those who are fired. Now, how would you see if you are the University professor who was fired at the time and somebody else comes and took your position? those who were fired have families to support but they were jobless and their strike wasn't supported by hodam people like Dr.Nega. Such crime agianst society is not forgivable in the civilized societies but is only accepted in the cursed land known as Ethiopia. Our society doesn't appreciete those 40 people who lost their job for a better freedom, but open its arms for people who are filled by duplicity such as Dr. Nega. Dr. Nega is a savvy business man and he knows why he chose to run to addis to congratulate Meles and took those postiions. He is only interested on high position for himself and that wasn't enough he continued until he distroyed Kinijit in the name of collective leadership. Now tell me the difference b/n the man who shake the devil hand and the man who shake the devil and congratulate him at the same time? You have to be smart

i told you that i am not a fan of Hailu Shawel. I don't believe in peaceful struggle with woyanne. It is a childish game.

By the way, did you see the chemistry between those men in the picture. they are all power mongers. smilling and shaking with the devil, what you think? I throw a fact that you don't know, i am sure it is like a bombshell.

In United States and much of the civilized world, there is a thing called "Accountablility" It means that you are responsible for every action you took in the past. even when you are at college. when they elect you, they see your profile. But in Ethiopian politics, yesterdays traitor (Nega) is now a hero. people who stand up and fight against tyranny is long forgotten. that is why many are descouraged to take part in Ethiopian politics because people has the tendency to take seriously on what they say than what they did. i am afraid you are one of them

I really don't care what happened in the past and I don't know that much about it. I am the new generation. Young ambitious and aggressive. to do what it is necessary to our Emama Ethiopia. At this time and at this moment, Dr. Berhanu is the only legitimate leader so far. If you disagree with me you can check what our proud Ethiopian people want in the near future.
I have seen that picture you posted it before. I am not strange to that. I know you are going to bring that picture again to make your point. I understand that too. I am not going to back and worried what happened in the past. As you have said it clearly who really cares what happened in 40 years ago? It is history now. We have to support any Ethiopian leader who wants to use force in order to get rid of this ruthless dictator by any means necessary.
That is what I am looking for and I know Dr. Berhanu is one of them. we have to be patient and see what he can do in the coming years. Criticizing him is not going to get us our freedom right away no matter what. I asked again and again about your alternative so far you don't have one honest and strong leader to tell me. You know we are living in a free society and we have the right what ever we have to support or not. I am not against any one who supports Engineer. But i am against any one who is insult the Good Dr. Berhanu and judge Birtukan. I am here to defend them with respect. If that respect is insulting, I am not going to back of by any means.
So my dear, Ethiopian politics is not that easy to swallow for all of us. It is a bitter and it is a challenge for all of us to bring facts and challenge each other with respect. You and I have some thing in common but we disagree the way how we see those leaders. I don't worship nor devoted my life to any Ethiopian leaders. I speak my mind and I respond the way how I have been treated. we have a few harsh words before and I don't think it will happen again.
I am not interested to bash Engineer for no reason. But when those weyane monkeys open their filthy mouth on Dr. Berhanu and Judge Birtuakan, I have to respond the way they understand the dirty game. Some times you take side with Arat, revu, Belay and that is ok. I am not upset about it and I just respond the way you wrote to me. There is no hard feeling between us. I don't see the way I see those weyane monkeys.
You see I don't judge Dr. Berhanu the way what he said or what he is going to do. I will give him my benefit of doubt until some thing change. So far I am with him and it is not time for me to give up on him and move on. I am with him for a while now and i will stay with him until we get rid of this corrupt leader of ours. I don't take those leaders seriously who wants to have regime change with peaceful struggle. To me it is a joke. Meles is not that stupid to leave his lovely job peacefully. It will not happen and it is crazy to waste time for this fake election either.

Oj

Glad to hear that. we agree in most of the things. the only thing is with whom as a leader. Since you ask me with alternative, let me summarize it shortly.

I don't believe in leaders. what makes a leader successful is the people who surround him. If the leader and the people who surround him (Organization) are hard working, dedicated and democratic, that will be my choice. As of this time, that doesn't exist, so i chose not to waste my time and energy on some one who is bound to fail.

If you really ask me, i am more inclined to EPPF now as it is the only organization that puts to action whatever it says. But, Elias involvement in that organization is making it bound to fail so i just wait and see.
