I don't know if you are lying or misinformed, but Eritrea was the only province in Ethiopia where schools were taught in Tegrenga. Amharic was taught as a compulsory language, but all classes were conducted in Tegrenga........as a matter of fact, even Amharic speaking Ethiopians who had to go to school in Eritrea were no exception......they had to learn Tegrenga in order to attend school in Eritrea.

YeBanda-Weradda:

Now that the border closure between the two countries has persisted for the last twelve years, language will also go further apart. The new generation in Eriterea, under the age of twenty-five do not speak Amarigna because of the educational curriculum, and the longer TPLF remains in power blocking the border crossing, the harder it will be for the two countries to understand each other. Fortunately, the ruling clique is forcing all Ethiopians to understand Tigrigna, so the Eritereans may have difficulties understanding Amharigna, but the Ethiopians will sure have the Tigrigna understanding. In a way things are balancing, in a very small way. But, let's not forget the main impediment for the two countries cultural exchange and beneficial trade is none other than TPLF.

Do you really miss Ethiopia that much? mts mts...  I can tell you about TPLFs Ethiopia, Yenie QelawaCH  ...

In TPLF's Ethiopia, Tigrigna is not the official language. Amharigna is still the official language and widely spoken. No worries though for your family and friends, who's running for a better life to Ethiopia. To be specific, Tigray. They don't need to speak Amarigna. Eventhough, your Tigrigna is not that authentic like the Aigames, somehow more mixed up with Amarigna, the good Aigames are a forgiving people :D They will be happy to help you speak the correct Tigrigna! As they have been doing for the last decade!

BTW, we never understood you anyways, even when we had no borders

Why TPLF couldn't stop you- Gudans, coming to Ethiopia ?? tinish siga endeMerfe tiwega??  anyway, have you seen us crossing to Sing-A-poor? Nope!

Mitmita:

Those with guts are crossing into Ereterea daily. In fact there are more Ethiopian patriots taking up arms against the abussive regime inside Ereterea than the other way around. You tell mw which one is better, civilians wanting to cross iamgining better grassland and finding out that in that grassland work is prohibited or military capable individuals trained to be a nuightmare of the regime crossing and coming back with more confidence and skills to make the regime pay through blood??? I will let you answer.
