YebandaMereze ( Pathological Liar Ugum):

First of all the BBC states "Ethiopian Music is Banned" and it happened in 2003, 7 years ago. Far as I know Ethiopian Music included some Amharic and some Tegaru songs. Although I am not sure when the ban was lifted, anybody who has been to Asmara knows Amharic music is available and played throughout the city, mostly to entertain the Amiche sector of the society. As others have stated above, Amharic is also used for broadcasting purposes on Eri TV.

Question to YM: dude, aren't you worried people will just think you are lying all the time even when you have something true to say?  nay aigame neger!

Amharic is banned in Eritrea because it has a hypnotizing effect on the population, puts eritreanism at the age of the clif and above all is the language of the former colonizer
