What is AEUP?

Postby Truth~ » 30 Dec 2007, 17:06

I heard so many times Weyane cadres and blind BBB supporters calling AEUP as Amhara organization. AAOP of Prof Asrat was converted to AEUP by Hailu Shual and his associates. It was the beginning of the end for once strong vibrant organization, AAOP. Infiltrates hijacked its mission and its every moves. The creation of Kinijit was the nadir of its incompetence. It gave the highest positions to those who publicly showed their hate towards Amhara. Andarkachew is a good example. It is no where at least for showing its opposition for public record, when TPLF gave away Amaras land to Sudan.

Hailu, to me is a person who tried his best for united Ethiopia at the expense of Amhara people.

Just look what the Tigreans are doing as we speak. They create their own organization Arena, while keeping in touch with multiethnic organization through their “prominent” individuals. But Hailu did the opposite. In present situation, Tigrean intellectuals are more practical than those Amharas. Ethiopia is divided with no return. Period.

Weannie,

Nightmare burns you alive. Denial of its existence is the best remedy. It is good for you, AAPO is out of your mind.

Truth,

As a democrat. who believe in individual liberty I accept your right to choose what ever you think is right.
I have a little bit confused in your posting the last one year and I want to ask you a question

1. In my my understanding AAPO and TPLF are both ethinic based political organizations. One is in power the other one in oppostion and changed its name to AEUP to stand national interest than its ethinc group . Now it looks like it failed to accomplish the mission as a united force and in my observation it seems there are two factions in this former AEUP.
a. The group lead by Eng. Hailu including Mr. Abaynech, Shaleka Getachew, Shaleka Admasu, Shaleka Yoseph and many others. This group by many known as the hardliner core / because of its feudal like leadership and struggle strategy/
b. The other group supported bu Eng. Gizachew, Mr. Brook, Mr. Mohammed and many others / known as moderate because of their strategy and willingness to accept dialogue and civilized politcal culture as an important factor for their political platform/

Now questions -

1.What is the political difference between the group lead by Eng. Hailu /aka hardliner/ and TPLF ethinic based politics ?

Why you are attacking the moderate / aka BBB's / wing of Kinjit ?
There is a clear difference and goal between your point of view and the group.
You want to libreate Amhara as ethinic, and the group want to bring democracy to ethiopians/ multi ethinic/ and libreate from TPLF dictatorship.

You have to accept these facts and focus in what you believe instead of calling others as a TPLF cadre and bla bla ... it is democracy and others like you have the right to convince and strength their political view.
Unless you behave likeyour admired feudal / former Derg minister/ Eng. hailu , who beilive that only he and AAPO/AEUP hardliner cliques telling the truth and the rest just lie !!!
It is natural law / I hope you understand basic physics/, where there is a reaction another equal reaction force to keep the balance !
Ethiopia interst is not only Amhara's interst, but all ethiopians and as you know Ethiopia is a multi -ethinic country, Amhara's are only one of them !!

Truth,

I think you feel or perceive that amara people are attacked when AEUP is criticized. This leads me to believe that it's you who feels or thinks AEUP is amara party.

By the way, why is UEDP - Medhin, another child of of AAPO, never has to deal with questions like this? Some AEUP like you, on the other hand, feel the urge to explain how AEUP is not only amhara party but also that of the tigrians, somalians, oromos, afars, gurages etc etc. Could it be that they don't feel a certain ethic group is being attacked when they get criticized? UEDP - Medhin is more diverse than AEUP, Is it its diversity that gives it the confidence not to cry 'amhara attacked' like some of you AEUP followers cry?

If you really want to convince the "weyane cadres" and the "BBB blind" followers that AEUP is not one ethnic party, then all you have to do is list the leaders along side their ethnicity. I really don't know what ethnic make up AEUP leadership has. Could you take the time to list the leaders, their positions and ethnicity? I'm asking this because it'll solve the question you yourself raised, and more importantly, it will help see yourself in the mirror and learn that the problem is with you, not the "weyane cadres" or the "BBB blind."

Frew/Finot,

TPLF should be grateful for the split of AAPO into MEDHN lead by its agent Lidetu and AEUP chaired by Hailu who entirely forgot why AAPO was created in the first place. Yes, these two individuals drag the organization into submissiveness and let their follower become delusional. TPLF unleashed its rabid dogs, Agazi with explicit instruction to shoot “Amharas” at their head. I assure you, TPLF wouldn’t dare to do so if there was strong Amhara organization capable of mobilizing its people against this barbarity. Sure enough, there was no noticeable reaction in amhara region for weyane atrocity.

Hailu Shual and Lidetu let Weyane milk amhara precious resources, its youth for its war machinary in the name of Ethiopian unity, the same phrase mentioned by both mercenary Meles and AEUP.

Ethiopia is sitting on the time bomb. It is a matter of time; we all get engulfed by ethnic avalanche. Instead of crying for unity alone, I prefer Amhara prepare iself for the inevitability.
