The folks that are sponsoring ESAT can afford to pay for 10 ESATs if they chose to do so. Don't assume its donation money from the Ethiopia diaspora. I do hope they (the financiers of ESAT) choose to expand the program, both radio and TV. There was a similar effort that targeted Eastern Europe at one time. It had paid off big time.

I may have not known about those sponsers you mentioned but from what the Management recently said, it is in a financial trouble. take a look at this. The statment sounds that ESAT needs 3000 individuals who contribute $20 every month. It is that money that i was refering

It's always helpful to show that you have supporters and followers. Getting 3000 registered followers paying $20/month will bring in a lot more $$$s from the deep pocketed sponsors. If they can show they can quantify the number of listeners they back in Ethiopia...

btw, revelations is full of conspiracy theory about esat because esat doesn't cover AAPO/ AEUP leadership and events. esat man prof. al mariam sided with bertukan group against hailu group during CUD split. besides esat gives berhanu unlimitted air time. revelations never forgave esat. tesasatkugn revu? lol

China VS USA Eden. Nothing more nothing less and no conspiracy needed! It's a clear cut case.

"If you criticize Meles Zenawi or his wife, you are a 'Zeregna!' "

Place: Paltalk room called "Ethio Love" run by woyane agents
Time: About a Month ago

A young Ethiopian woman traumatized after having watched a video showing her fellow Ethiopian sister being tortured, humiliated and kidnapped in front of the woyane consulate in Lebanon, she grabbed the microphone at the Paltalk "Ethio-Love" room and sobbed her heart out as she broke the terrible news to the audience and invited everyone to watch the Video that was posted on Youtube.

Several young men and women watched the video and took turns at the microphone to express their anger, and some went so far as to condemn the woyane regime for exporting Ethiopian women to Arab countries for profit. A young woman in particular burst out in anger and hurled vile insults at Meles Zenawi and his wife Azeb until her microphone was cut off by one of the room moderators, a female, who angrily accused the young woman of being "Zeregna!"

Soon, several woyane cadres were summoned to the room to calm the young people whose anger had reached the point of rage. One by one, the TPLF cadres got on the mic and lectured the young Ethiopians about how it's "uncool" to be "Zeregna."

When the older generation of Ethiopians who were supposed to guide and instill patriotic values in the young people are squabbling over trivial matters, the flock of sheep are left without a shepherd to protect them against the woyane wolves in sheep's clothing.

Deqi-Arawit,
Your have a correct argument, and of course the future of the county is in the hand of its young people, so that any political group or media out let should target such group in order to make a difference or mobilize them against the intended target..
I am not saying that the old is ineffectual, but as you said they have a lot of baggage which would deter them from taking decisive measures or playing significant rules.
Nevertheless, the old generation could play their limited rule by supporting as well as heartening the new generation. Indeed, most of us like to be encouraged as well as embolden by our own father, mother, or elderly in the community and surely it would boost our image and remove our fear.
However, the problem of the young generation, particularly in Ethiopia, is that most of them seems unconcerned what is going on in the country, instead they are trying by any means to avoid the objective reality instead of facing it.
The saddest part is that most them use different methods to assuage their frustration, using drug, alcohol and prostitution seems a norm. I think here the advices as well as the guidance of the old generation is crucial, otherwise the new generation would be lost in the desert.
It would be important if the old and the young generation able to work together and support each other for the common good.
