you can judge a leadership's vision by the national anthem it adopts. Following the national anthem of Eritrea and the national anthem of TPLF. Read and judge.
Eritrea's national anthem (although officialy adopted in 1993, it was in use as EPLF national anthem way before Eritrea's independence):
Eritrea, Eritrea, Eritrea,
Her arch-enemy destroyed wailingly,
her sacrifices vindicated by freedom.
She holds firmly her goal,
her name has come to mean perseverance and steadfastness,
Eritrea, the pride of the oppressed people,
is a testament that truth prevails.
Eritrea, Eritrea,
has taken her rightful place in the world.
The supreme dedication that brought her liberation,
will serve to rebuild her and make her green,
We shall honour her with progress,
It is our legacy to embellish her.
Eritrea, Eritrea,
has taken her rightful place in the world.
TPLF national anthem as adopted in 1992
March Forward, Dear Mother Ethiopia (ohh yeah? one never sell his own mother)
Respect for citizenship is strong in our Ethiopia; (respect my behind! why r u deporting Amharas from the other side of the country to another side?)
National pride is seen, shining from one side to another. (what national pride? u mean Killil pride?)
For peace, for justice, for the freedom of peoples, (right lol)
In equality and in love we stand united. (how about the golden race? is it equal to the others?)
Firm of foundation, we do not dismiss humanness; (and why are u dehumanize Ethiopian girls in arab countries and elsewhere?)
We are people who live through work. (lol u guys r funny. why is then 80% of ur national budget comprised of aid?)
Wonderful is the stage of tradition, mistress of a proud heritage,( i though Axum was meaningless to the Anuak people, even to the Tembien people)
Natural grace, mother of a valorous people.
We shall protect you - we have a duty;
Our Ethiopia, live! And let us be proud of you! (i would suggest a little alteration: "let us robe u")
