I am always very carefully not to disappoint any one regarding religious matters. I only discuss my believes openly with selected friends of mine who love to have a philosophical discussion. I try to follow religious obligations as much as possible because I take it as a social obligation and part of my cultural identity. However, I always get surprised when I see people that I consider intelligent and educated speak about God and religion with passion. In my opinion, if God exists at all, then he must be the most unfair creator and the most cruel father. I wonder why people worship someone who openly tells them he has a "chosen people" and refers his people as "my people" and the rest of the people as "Others". It is understandable if those "chosen people" worship him, but ironically, those who are "not the chosen" seem to worship him more which is something beyond my understanding. When ever I read the bible, the level of racism and bigotry I find there make me sick and want never to read it again. I mean, it is crazy to see people believe in "God" that doesn't care to show them his existence to save the people he created. Anyways, thanks for a good lough.
