We cannnot tell how old this video is, when was it recorded? I could be wrong but I may have heard the woman referring to "Asmara Eritrea," and the child would not go. I think the issue sounded like a single mother resenting her life and taking it out on the child. She was asking her if she has a "buda" blood line (evil eye geneology) and the child says no and the mother forces her to accept the child her evilness is from the father's side. The child may have cried over someone telling her about Asmara Eritrea and the mother is upset.
While it is a sad thing to witness, there is no law in Ethiopia that would discourage adults from abusing children.

I am shocked what I have witnessed. It is not a strange thing to see this kind ugly abuse to their own child in third world countries. Now the main issue is when did the video was taken? how old this video? I see, the Shabian and weyane foot soldiers are using the tragedy for their own political advantage. I heard the mother say "Asmara Eritera" but it was not that much clear. In my opinion this is an old video and it surfaced now for some reason. The truth of the matter is we have seen this kind tragedy in our life time. There is a lot of abuse in the third world countries as well as a few European countries as well. Please stop politicizing this tragedy for your own political advantage. I hope the child will be safe and some body help her out of this mess.

you are correct........there is a lot of missing information on the video , but the bottom line is that the little girl is being brutally abused. I find it hard to believe that the lady is the little girl's biological mother. I will pray for her.

The clip is disturbing, but not uncommon in Ethiopia. Based on some of the wordings, I can tell the mother is a Tigrinya speaking woman. Mostly Tigrinya speakers use such reference as BUDA. If I am not mistaken, Eritreans call Tigryans BUDA, for they are known to practice BUDIGNA. just like the clip below

Defenetely the mother is from the TUHANAM woy-anuse people. When it comes to Buda, Adwans are the one who practice it. For example MINILUTE, parents are Buda who drink child blood.

It's hard to believe the lady is her biological mother at all. It looks the kid biological parents might have been deported to Eritrea and the poor kid is left under a serial abuser neighbor or the kid is fathered by a deported Eritrean and her BUDDA Tigrain mother is now abusing her like there is no tomorrow. You can clearly hear in the video this Budda lady was abusing and punishing the poor defenseless child for crying and talking somthing about Asmara and Eritrea with neighbors?? The serial abuser lady and the one who was enjoying and laughing while video taping the agony and suffering of a defenseless child should be brought to justice sooner or later. I believe the person who posted it in youtube should come forward and expose the lady and her accomplice in the crime? If not, I am inclined to believe the person who posted the video on youtube must be the same person who video tape it??

The poor little child received 21 heavy blows to the head, 9 to the body, and got her genitals pinched hard by the mother from hell, who later abrasively rubbed the child's face with an ice cube to reduce the swelling and cover up any evidence of torture.

From what I have heard so far, the girl most probably has an Eritrean father and an Ethiopian mother (posibily an Amhara - accent). The house is some sort of Bar, and the woman who records the video owns the Bar and the house. The girl lives with her "mother" who most probably work at the Bar, not as a waitress but some sort of cleaning (she could not properly detach the ice which indicates not sufficient experience as a bar tender). The reason for the abuse seemes to be that the girl had a quarell with a neighbour kid and somehow the girl proudly said she is from Asmara, Eritrea (or that her father is from Asmara, Eritrea). The woman (mother) was not present when the actual quarell was happening, but heard it from the other woman recording the video (the Bar owner, and landlord). This can be heard at the end of the clip when the recording woman says something concerning what had happened earlier, which warranted another slap from the "mother".

There is also another girl involved "Betty", probably the ealder sister of the abused girl. She was quite the whole time which can explain the routine nature of the abuse not only by the "mother" but also buy the recording woman. Another name is also mentioned, "Alem", probably the friend of the recording woman. From the way she laughs and her arrogance ("Betty tilakalech..."), the Bar owner is some sort of sadistic ignorant. The "mother"is most probably systematically persuaded to abuse her child for the pleasure of the Bar owner. This video has landed on You Tube through a customer of the Bar (probably from the Deaspora) who accidentaly found the video on the cellphone of the Bar owner and sneaked it to his own cell - phone.

In any case, the child needs immidiate help. Otherwise she will fall apart mentaly and physically very soon. I have send an email to many Ethiopian websites and the federal police. This morning, I have also came across an association known as ANPPCAN (Association for Nation Wide Action for Protection and Prevention Against Child Abuse and Neglect).
