So you think because he is as loyal servant as you woyane cadres are to your masters gives him priority to walk before one of the great athletes of all time. And in the Olympics ceremony at that, in which Haile has given so much. I know you worship the U.N. more than God for whatever reason, whether the wheat the U.N. supplied had saved your life when you were child or you are still expecting sanctions. I do not know. But do not think the organizers have the kind of illusion you have with the U.N.. Nonetheless, I am sure you are more proud by the selection of the U.N. Secretary General to carry the Olympic flag, than Haile the Great.

Allow me to explain why I said the UN is behind Ethiopia all the way, but vehemently opposes our TPLF agenda for secession.
As many of you already know, we have quietly achieved the first stage of our Abay Tigray agenda within Ethiopia's boundaries without facing much resistance from the Amhara people whose land we stole and incorporated into Abay Tigray. However, we faced an unexpected dilemma in 1998 when we went for the second stage of the Abay Tigray agenda that was hampered by Shabos who made us look like complete fools.
We then switched to plan "B" and started selling Ethiopia, hectare-by-hectare, to foreign governments whose diplomatic clout we desperately needed to impose sanctions against Eritrea, by hook or by crook, so we may finally stand a chance at having our Abay Tigray republic.
But there's another problem. Some permanent members of the UN security council think that the creation of Abay Tigray republic will disintegrate Ethiopia as a country, so they have been opposing against any draft resolutions that call for harsh sanctions against Eritrea. Some are even contemplating about lifting the sanctions altogether on technical grounds, in which they even went so far as to postpone the proposed draft for another year and told our honorable TPLF ambassador to the UN to bathe in the sun and come back in 13 months. This, I felt, was a diplomatic slap in the face for our hard-working TPLF ambassador seeking to create the Abay Tigray Republic using UN resolutions. It is an insult to our TPLF. It is UNjust. And most of all, it is UNfair !
