Can Eleni G/ Medhin unite TPLF's warlords and become PM?

Postby revelations » 16 Jul 2012, 15:44

Meanwhile, TPLF stalwart Eleni G.Medhins’ attempt to bring together the implacable warlords at a scrumptious luncheon organized for Thursday afternoon at Zenawi occupied Menelik’ s palace badly backfired and left the woman embarrassed when Abbay Woldu refused to attend.

Well-placed sources within the TPLF told the Horn Times that Eleni persuaded acting PMs, the twin warlords Tedros Adhanom and Birhane Gebrechristos to put their differences aside for the ailing Zenawis’ sake and meet Woldu. However, she only hit a glass ceiling.

Never say never! Even Tamirat Layne, who came from an obscure and besless EPDM was made PM by TPLF and Meles.

The biggest obstacle Eleni will face is Azeb but that can be easily handled if she aligns herself with the right Tigre warlord. A warlord who has the military backing but who needs western backing and connections.

No wonder Eleni gave up her CEO position for ECX to an unknown inexperienced young dude. Better and exciting posts were opening up and she didn't want to miss the opportunity!

Viva Abay Weldu for refusing to meet "ADERBAY' Lekbat. She should not give anything the ex fighter should take Meles place. What does she knows About Tigray, she came when the rain stopped to garner power. She never helped Woyane during the struggle, we did everything we could to win the war.

I don't think anyone cares about what you say.

Since donor nations are the kingmakers in most heavily indebted African countries, Dr Eleni, by virtue of being the product of World Bank's assembly line, and owing to her docile yes-man personality, she stands a great chance of ascending to the helm of the ruling party. Last year, we've seen how the multinational corporations used the French military to invade Ivory Coast and remove its democratically elected President in order to install a former World Bank executive in power.
