I have one genuine question, do these Tigreans sell or their "talent" is also financied by the State Department? I heard in Afghanistan singers were receiving money from the US taxpayer coffer, but I have not heard if it is applied for Tigreans too. All you have to do is either conferm or deny.

Some of them sell & make a modest living with it, but most of them either try to make a living with it and see how hard it is to sell songs and never come back to it after their first song or first album, or A FEW OF of them have other jobs and like to sing and help develop the tigrigna culture. No body pays or helps Tigrayan artists. That is why you see so many new faces, everyday , coming and going. Thanks to the Qatari, Libyan and Iranian donnations it receives, Shaebia subsidizes its artits, but weyane does not give a hoot about our culture , history and art. Weyane says Amharic it is developing amharic for all ethios and even for africans to use and it says we do not want another tribe to use ethiopia to develop its culture. Above ALL, the weyane government has completely abandoned Tigray, and instead it is focused on addis and environs.

Brother abel,

if weyanne abondened tigray, i will never abondon your bloody tigraway twaway tiny and thight anusss  the reason is that just like people use pencil sharpner by inserting it in that thight hole, i will insert my red dry board marker in your fealthy a88ame annus just to wet it since it is drying a lot this days. the problem of me using your fealthy [deleted] to wet my red marker is that you often excessively bleed(more than the red ink that i need) and produce a sound similar to your stupid low production music which is very annoying to any self respecting human being.

Eris subsidize their singers? This is the first time I have heard of. I know they are not much of good payers, they are known to be more about their country than lining their pockets, the complete and total opposite to TPLF. Tigreans tried so many ideological guidance, I doubt they have one particular they are following, ten years ago they were mixed economy, twenty years ago they were Albanian Communist economical guidance where no one owns anything, and now they say they follow free market economy with hyper inflation.

Abel [deleted]..It has nothing to do with subsidy or non subsidy...We Eritreans support our artists with any means. when they come overseas we shower them with praise, appreciation, and of course we don’t hesitate to go to their concert even it means expensive entrance allowance. While the [deleted]..because they are cheap and greedy, no appreciation..in fact, you concoct with intrigue to liquidate them...The famous Tigrian artist [Kiros alemayou] was a victim of this [deleted] narrow mindedness....and who can forget Iyasu berhe...the composer, affluent in Geeze and traditional folk lore..But your [deleted] arses, instead of praising, you killed them. Narrow mindedness and short sightedness is the trade mark of the [deleted] tribe.

Wediserawit , there is some tiny truth in what you said, but the two guys you mentioned were not that great musicians, they were good on the stage but they really produced lousy music except on rare ocassions. If you think they were great, it only shows your poor taste for Tigrigna music. If you bellittle Tigrayan music, you are no better than the horrible Lut Misraq , the [deleted] Semira; who, as you saw him scribble above, quite vividly case showed his extremely perverted life style. How can you not feel ashamed to slander the good Tigrayan music the same way the leaky an*us [deleted] gumame semira does? Shame on you to adpot the terms the [deleted] uses in denigrating my posts ! Do you think [deleted] Semira the leaky an*us misraq has a modicum of respect for arrteran Tigrigna music? Absolutely No! You must be delusional if you think pervert Lut Misraq the [deleted] Adgi Semira loves your Tigrigna songs; so I insist, You must know [deleted] Semira the Lut Misraq is simply jealous about anything Tigrignan, like every Gumame happens to be.

Kiros has some good songs, but he is always dynamic on the stage, even if many of his song may be lousy specially during their second phase/stage .

Though its beat is excellent, Look how this song gets lousy at its second phase, and yet, Kiros, the king of the stage, is Soaring like an eagle, all the way to the finish point, as he always did it.

Sorry! At first I posted the wrong linkm and then the wrong song, but all is corrected now.
"It is good to be alive, even for one extra week." Kiros wrote this sad song after he was released from his long arrest and sufferance in Degue's torture chambers.

Nearly 30 years ago kiros produced a beautiful Rayan song "Megalwa", which , I think, is one of his best songs in his long musical career.
