June 20, 1:20 PM – Ethiopians in Tampa Bay – Orlando FL area just concluded a peaceful demonstration in front of the City Hall and the Lykes Park in Downtown Tampa. They protested the June 6-8 mass murder of civilians in Ethiopia. Representatives of Rep. Jim Davis and Senator Bill Nelson office met with the group at 11:35 AM. The demonstration started at 10:00 AM and ended shortly after 12 Noon.

June 15, 4:20 PM – The largest Ethiopian rally ever in Atlanta has just ended. The protestors marched from the Martin Luther King Center to the CNN Center in Downtown, Atlanta. The protestors condemned the mass murder of civilians by the Meles regime, and demanded his immediate resignation. photo
June 15, 2:50 PM – The family of a CUD staff member Wzt. Azeb Amare are deeply worried that while in prison for the past eight days she has been denied medicine for a sever stomach ache. She is terribly sick and my die soon if she continues to be denied treatment, the family told ER correspondent.
Another member of the CUD staff, Ato Endale Hailu had been arrested eight days ago, and as of today, his family are unable to find out where he is.
CUD leader Ato Hailu Shawel said about 120 support staff of the CUD’s four member parties were in jail. “Our offices are without secretaries and administrative staff. Some 120 of them have been jailed. This hampered our effort to implement the agreement”, he added. Reuters
Update: 10:20 AM – The dinner reception has been canceled due to enormous complaints. This is a small victory on behalf of fellow Ethiopians who were massacred by the Meles regime on June 6 – 8. Please contact each member of the Congressional Black Caucus and inform them about the ongoing atrocities in Ethiopia so that they may speak out.

June 14, 1:05 PM – People who were caught watching Tamagn Beyene’s video have been arrested in Jinka, South Omo. EPRDF security forces are making house searches and arresting any one who is caught with the video tape. The distributor of the video tape in Jinka was brought to court today.
